This weekend part of the team will be at the Purbeck Rally in Wareham Dorset. This is truly a brilliant show with something for the whole family. Classic cars, tractors, steam engines large and small, military vehicles craft stalls and trade stands. The show dates are Friday 10th August, Saturday 11th August and Sunday 12th August. Gates open early so come on down and enjoy an excellent country show. Pop along and say hello to the crew take a look around one of our Landrovers and the response quad. A big big thank you to Donna, Richard, Keith and all the rest of the guys and girls of the Purbeck Rally team for your support of KERV. Pictures of the weekend will follow in later blogs.
The Landrover 109 looking very shiny, sometimes I think we have shares in a polish company.
A bonnet to eat your dinner off, just no scratching the paint work.
As regular readers will know we at KERV run two Landrovers. A very tidy and fully operational 108 series 3 and a very nice if not a little thirsty 110 V8 fully operational. Now it seems the infection is spreading, the station officer now owns a Landrover Discovery TD3 and one of our Leading Firefighters has also bought a Discovery TD5. So is Kimmeridge coming down with landroveritus. I’m feeling a little left out. Oh no I think its speading further I’m off to look at a Disco this weekend. Pictures of these fine trucks to follow.
The 110 V8 is back on the run its new beefy springs fitted and working fine. This Landrover is an Ex Mid west Wales machine. It carries 100 gallons of water extra hose and equipment to any thing that might happen in our small village, with a crew of two this machine is able to supply mainline fire fighting jets 70mm or 45mm or supply water to its hose reel from its mid mounted main pump. More photos of this great truck in next weeks posts.
The 110 sits between the quad and our other Landrover. This picture was taken before its new shocks were fitted.
If we do get this snow fall think about if your trip, is really nesessary, take extra time, slow down let someone know your route and what time you expect to arrive. Take care THINK.
A line up of our trucks. More to follow in the web pages soon.
